  • Gave into the MySpace world finally. It's addicting, though the pure traffic just crushes the system. What I found amusing was there was a small group titled "Coldfusion Sucks" and they used MySpace as the reasoning. The weird thing is they complain about performance but not about the security of their information. The only security flaw is if someone hacks an account, they won't be hacking the site because ColdFusion has <cfqueryparam> which blows PHP, ASP out of the water. Open source is NOT always the answer, someday the blind sheep will see that and learn to co-exist with proprietary software.
  • Actually am buying parts for the new, as of yet unnamed PC, piece by piece as I save money. I have learned alot and am still learning. If anyone wants to save me some research and just tell me how much using the Raptor 10K drive which is SATA I (150) on a SATA II MOBO will hurt speeds I would be more than happy to listen and ask more questions. I got a wicked deal on a 19" LCD monitor and a small discount too.

  • Things are moving along smoothly. Renee and I will soon be looking at the possibility of building a bare bones system for Cross-Referencing Authors, Ideas and Subjects for research projects and studying. Mainly with her studies in mind but of course it will be made generic enough to be used by anyone with a research project and internet access.
  • Will be designing another website/ database for Renee's field research, possibly including the ability to be used with a Palm/ Blackberry, RSS feeds, blog, indexing, cross-referencing etc. If this works out I should be able to market it to others in her field. Will of course include customizable templates, security, and portability across platforms (and internet browsers). Oh yeah and of course it will be MySQL because Access is insufficient for anything slightly larger than a little league baseball team.

  • Got a google blog today. They look like they have plenty of control and security that I feel safe. They even let me remove and edit the comments. Getting rid of the journal now that I have that. Saves web space and I am looking to eventually make this color scheme and the blog very similar. Eventually.

  • Gave up on the xml desktop for a while, and am currently using Konfabulator a really decent desktop widget program. So the page I was going to dedicate to the xml desktop is afk for now.
  • Added a Journal, already got complaints about some things on it. Changed it I am not out looking for a fight, too many important things in my life for that.
  • Eventual Rss Feed will be created for Cybercuse which you can get from his site later.

  • Well now... bimonthly my left toenail. I made some changes this summer and I seem to have lost them. So I decided to start actually updating this and seeing if I can't get it up and running again.
  • I am going to change the blog to a running journal until I get my internet back at my apartment, Whereby I will soon be buying my own domain, and if I can find a legit, decent (read cheap and coldfusion allowed) host I will go with them or else host my own.
  • Once I get some hosting going I will offer the xml desktop including guides/ help and downloads.
  • Added a page devoted to my new computer in development. I will include pictures and stories because we all know that it's always good for a laugh when I work on my computers.
