Welcome!
Welcome, to All County Tax Payers of Herkimer County Web-site. We are a group of concerned community residents and tax-payers committed to restoring integrity, accountability, and  public servitude back to government. We attempt to accomplish this, by holding bi-monthly meetings, where ALL citizens, community residents and tax-payers, meet in an informal, but respectful setting, to discuss issues of community and public concern; such as "quality of life issues, recent legislation, or governmental polices.

Also as an Association we attend numerous County, Town, and local board meetings, in Herkimer County, to help keep the public informed, and acting  as a conduit of support, for those citizens wishing to address these bodies, with ideas or grievances. We believe in our Federal Constitution, and the fact that it is the supreme law of the land, to wish each citizen has guaranteed rights and responsibilities, and the purpose and limitation of government, is explicitly addressed!

This web- site is meant to be informative, as well as empower the tax payer, to be a watchful eye and ears, and to hold our governmental officials and public employees to the highest standard of accountabilities, as well as a means by wish they can communicate together to ensure their Constitutional, and alienable rights!

Empowerment

We ask all tax payers to become familiar with their Federal, State and local Constitutions and Charters, as well as their  boards and governmental representatives; this site thru its links , contains access to these documents as well as contact information of Federal, State, and local representatives.

Posted meeting dates of the County Legislature, as well as Town and local board meetings are posted and accessed via this web-site. ACTA strongly encourages concerned citizens to attend;( If you would like support at one of these meetings and/ or in addressing your officials with ideas or grievances, please contact ACTA via e-mail or phone, and arrangements will be made to assist you)

Newsletter

ACTA periodically prints an informative newsletter entitled W.A.T.C.H.-D.O.G.( we are the citizens having dialogue on government). Here information and lively commentary, are printed and shared by our officers , on various community, and political topics. We encourage Herkimer County residents to avail themselves of this free resource! Copies can be obtained via e-mail request ( actahc@hotmail.com) or by calling 894-3546.

We encourage all citizens to be community and political "Watchdogs" and to contact members of ACTA with community or governmental events and actions; for possible publication or notification in our newsletter!
