The annual Sports and boat shows are swinging into the lime-light once again.

This year, Sector Commander Captain Scott Ferguson has asked us to really emphasis the use of the life-jacket.

These shows are a great way to get a jump start on doing that by simply wearing a life jacket when volunteering to stand a watch at these shows.

An instructor wearing a life-jacket can go a long way towards impressing the boater/fisherman and convince them that wearing one might well save their life.

Is Your Auxiliary contact information up to date?
Have you moved, changed your phone number or email address? Have you updated your personal AUXDATA record? If not, you're missing out! You may not be receiving The Navigator, or may not be getting properly reimbursed, or you may be missing current critical information from your Auxiliary leadership.

Updating your information in your AUXDATA record is as easy as filling out a Form 7028 - Change of Member Information , which takes just a couple of minutes. Send or give it to your FSO-IS, and they will take care of the rest for you. Do it today, and you'll be glad you did!

You can copy and paste all information by holding the left key down as you drag your mouse across, and then right clicking and scrolling onto "copy"

Copy photos by right clicking on them and either "copy" and then "paste" or "save image as".

Paste the info you copied onto your own document. Colored font may need to be changed by you.

The US Coast Guard says that wearing a Life Jacket could make the difference between life and death

More than 90% of deaths in boating are from drowning. And 80% of those drowning victims were not wearing a personal floatation device. It's important to wear a PFD! They protect against drowning and can help protect against hypothermia - because exposure to cold water is another major killer in boating accidents.
