About CNYTurners

News

The CNYTurners' web site is designed to let members and people in the Central New York region, share information about wood turning and associated subjects.

CNYTurners was established in 1782 by a group of CNY settlers fleeing religious persecution in England. Originally founded as a Druid cult, the organization dwindled without purpose until 1999 when it became secular and devoted itself to the art of woodturning. Now they accept just about anybody who likes wood.
