TO ALL:
* Another successful Roundtable. Our numbers were up this month(43). Thanks to all who came. Many Scouters received the Training they need for summer activities. Thanks to Carol and her Training Staff - including Venture Crew 1276.
* Cub Leaders received some ideas for a Magic Program for their Scouts.
* We had enough Scouters show up that it appears that we need to come up with a third Topic for those months that we have Training. We are getting enough people Trained that we need something else for them to do. We will consider coming up with another topic/activity for those months that we have Training as well as spreading out to another room so that we don't disturb each other. (the big room is much too noisy for more than one activity at a time)You to, can make suggestions, volunteer ideas and time, and otherwise help us provide a Roundtable Program that is meaningful to your Scouts.
What we did this month was move to the other room, split up into various groups and worked on or discussed various topics relative to Scouting. A Couple of items in this newsletter came from those discussions.

June 12: R'table/Picnic/Auction. If anyone has another suggestion of a place, Please get as much info. as you can (shelter, parking, grills, hours,COST, contact person or agency)and let us know.
*Our District O.A.(Order of the Arrow) needs OUR help. They need a list of all elected OA members( Boys and Adults) for each of our Scout Troops & Crews. What they have is only the last few inducted. The current OA Leadership hasn't been able to get anyone to show up for any gatherings.
* Another thought: Would it help the OA if they could/would meet on Roundtable night; have their own meeting room; gather & ride with the Adult Leaders that are coming to Roundtable? It would cut out another mtg. night; save gas; get to know each other; exchange ideas; & help draw more Leaders to R'table. We would be helping each other.
*Interesting suggestion received: - Rotate Roundtables around the District. - Who can make arrangements with a place big enough; within the District; 6 - 9pm; 2nd Thursday of the month; 2 - 3 rooms; has or allows coffee pot and snacks;........???
* We may be putting out a District Newsletter (with alot of the above info)at R'tables to supplement or replace the "Scouter". Cost is too high to print and mail "the Scouter" at this time.(any donations??)
Thanks to all who came. - Please - those Units that don't have representation at Roundtable please try to find someone to represent you and bring back info. to your Unit. It doesn't have to be the CM,SM,CC, etc.
Yours in Scouting, Charlie
ps: Leo needs your Recharters.
