Scoutreach Update

Since 1996 Scoutreach has grown in our council, with membership along with council and district participation from our units camping trips, field trips, parades and other various events.

Two of our scouts I'm proud to say had the opportunity to attend the 2005 Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill Va. Gregory Kowalski and Ryan Windhausen both of Troop 76 they had a fantastic time, a Heart Felt Thank You to everyone who made this dream come true for these scouts, after a long period we now have 12 members who have been inducted into The Order of the Arrow from Ordeal to Virgil Honor attending OA events, meetings, and more.

The James "Marmaduke" Seton Scoutreach Resource Center is back in operation thanks to The Hispanic Spanish Seven Day Adventist Church with selling of Delaware Street Baptist we were unaware as to what the fate of the center it just so happen that one of the elders of the church was a scout and stated that they wanted the program to stay as part of their youth ministry and a service to the community, for more Information Please Contact Dave McCray@ (315 ) 876-5382.

                                                                   "I FORGOT IT"

YES IT'S ABOUT THE SCOUT UNIFORM

Every Boy has a chance to become a Boy Scout But not every Boy can be a scout, those who are should be Proud to belong and Represent for the world to see. Ah but at last the old peer pressure issue comes up once again and the Uniform is the target.  These things are understandable we have all been thru it. Three things should be most important to a scout and that is his HONOR, performance of Duty and Service to others.

Are you ashamed of who you are as a person or where you live or those for care for you?

Your uniform represents HONOR and a light in a dark world scouting prepares you to deal with life and skills to get you there your uniform should always be neat and clean as you do for yourself keeping neat and clean. As with many jobs the uniform everyone about that person. The Police wear uniforms and people recognition in times of trouble or distress that they are there to help in what ever situation is at hand. The Fire also wears a uniform for the same reason so dose the doctor, nurse, military, they wear them with pride honor no not 24 hours a day but while on duty, KEY WORD DUTY your uniform tells that you are one of America's Best.

IF YOUR FRIENDS WERE TRUE FRIENDS THEN THEY WOULD SUPPORT AND UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM and maybe signup themselves. With the different Awards, Patches, and Medals you have earned you should not be ashamed of who and what you are, RESPECT YOUR UNIFORM.  IT MAKES A STATEMENT ABOUT YOU ! Don't be ashamed, Don't be weak, Stand UP for right, BE A LEADER not a follower set the pace.
