The Future is Up to UU!
Your Pledge
It's your statement of your intention to give a specified amount in the 2006-07
fiscal year. If your situation changes within that year, the pledge can be
adjusted by notifying he church office. For responsible budgeting to proceed,
however, we must all try to make commitments we expect to honor.
Your Share
Your pledge is a very personal commitment. While we cannot all give the same
dollar amount, each of us can make a contribution that will support the programs
and activities that we all value. What the church asks for is a considered, and
honest, answer to the question of how much to give.
How much should you pledge?
That depends on your financial resources, and where you rank the church in your
spending priorities. Anyone who believes that what the church offers them is
important in their lives should feel good about pledging the UUA's suggested
2.5%-5.0% of gross income.
The following guidelines provide a "range of giving" for several income levels.
People with sufficient financial resources are strongly urged to consider a
pledge in the suggested range.
You should give the amount that is significant for you. We believe in equal
commitment rather than equal amount. Those whose present circumstances do not
permit them to pledge the amounts listed should be assured that their
contributions, all contributions, are greatly appreciated.
| Annual Income | Annual Pledge | Monthly Pledge |

How will your pledge be made?
The Canvass will begin on Sunday, March 26. All who are in attendance that day
will be given the opportunity to make their pledge in person. Those members who
are not in attendance or who choose not to pledge on the 26th will be contacted
within a week by a member of the Canvass team. We will gladly take your pledge
by phone and mail you a confirmation letter; face-to-face meetings will be
arranged at your request.
