Jane began her career in adult education soon after receiving her doctorate from Syracuse University in 1989. She taught part-time at Syracuse University in the Adult Education Program and began a career with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in the Nuclear Training Department. She advanced her career in the utility industry functioning as a supervisor of training, an internal organizational consultant, and in 1999 was promoted to General Supervisor, Nuclear Training. She has taught at numerous colleges including the New School for Social Research and Chapman University in their MBA Programs. A lifelong learner, Jane has continued her pursuit of education and attained a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Technology (1995) and Master's degrees in both Business Administration (1994) and Organizational Psychology (2000).

Affilitated with numerous organizations, Jane is on the Board of Directors of the Onondaga/Oswego Chapter of the American Red Cross. Since 1993, Jane has been the President of Adult Learning Connection, a consulting business which conducts workshops on management issues. Her last seminar, "Organizational Ethics and Diversity," was delivered in Dallas, TX.
