Hi. This site is about my 1938 Ford pickup, car pics, and auto links. I'll be adding to it as time allows. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by.

The truck is a 1938 Ford pickup with a 1938 Ford DeLuxe passenger front end. The cowl where the fenders bolt on is too wide and rather than try (limited body work experience) and modify the compound curve in the cowl area I opted to notch the fenders to fit the cowl. I also slid the cab 2" back on the frame so I didn't have to notch the fenders as much, wouldn't run into a clearance problem at the lower front corners of the door, and could use a stock length hood. I was real lucky when I bought the front clip that it came with running boards. As I found out later the whole front clip seems to use the running boards as the locator. The side panels on a 38 are also part of the grill so I cut them to match the grill bar shape cause I like being able to see the motor. The flatbed in the back was built using construction lumber since I'll probably only run this for 2001 and then put he stock box on when I get it finished. I don't think the truck will ever have glossy paint but the final finish will probably be basecoat black with a flat clear. I've heard too many bad things about using primer for a long term finish. The running gear consists of a Heidts MII with the wide lower arms, power rack(to be hooked up this winter), 100,000 mile 305, TH350, and 1983 Monte Carlo rearend on a paralell leaf setup.
