Section 2. THE LORD'S SUPPER.
This ordinance of remembering the Lord's death shall be observed
at least once every month, subject to the
discretion of the Pastor and Deacons' Board.
Furthermore, since we recognize all believers as our brothers and
sisters in Christ, and since the Scripture places the responsibility for
receiving Communion on the individual believer (I Corinthians 11:27-32),
we invite
other born-again believers to fellowship with us in this observance.
All organizations shall be subsidiary to and responsible to the membership of the church. Such organizations shall give full report of their activities at the Annual Meeting, and at such other time as ca1led upon by the membership of the church, the Pastor, or the Board of Deacon's.

goal. (I Corinthians 5:4-5 with Corinthians 2:5-ll).
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the qualified members present and voting at any Annual Meeting, or at any Special Corporate Meeting called for that purpose; providing that public notice shall have been given at the regular Sunday worship services on the (2) Sundays immediately preceding said Special Corporate Meeting.
This Constitution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the qualified members present and voting at a Special Corporate Meeting held for that purpose. Adoption shall nullify all previous constitutions and amendments to same.
Section 1. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES.
We believe in the absolute integrity of Holy Scripture and verbal,
plenary inspiration by the Holy Spirit, as
originally written through men prepared for this purpose by God.
The Scripture of our Bible, both Old and New Testaments, are inerrant in
relation to any subject with which they deal, and are to be accepted in
their natural
intended sense as of full authority over Christian faith, life,
and practice. No other religious writings or posed revelations are
to be accepted as divinely inspired or authoritative. (II Timothy
3:16-17;II Peter 1:20. 21).
Section 2. THE GODHEAD.
We believe in one, triune God, eternally existing in three sons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Co-eternal in being; co-identical in
nature; co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfection's.
(Dueteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14).
Section 3. THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.
We believe He became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived
by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might
reveal God and redeem sinful men. (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross, as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. (Romans 3:24-25; I Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right-hand of God, where as our High Priest He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Acts 1:9-l0; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2).
Section 4. THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world
of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; that is the Supernatural Agent
in regeneration. We believe He baptizes all believers into the Body
of Christ,
indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption. (John 16:8-11;
I Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9).
We believe He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers to all truth; that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit. (John 16:13; Ephesians 5:18).
Section 5. THE TOTAL DEPRAVITY OF MAN.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God,
but that in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became
alienated from God; that man is totally depraved, and of himself utterly
unable to remedy his lost condition. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans
3:22-23; Ephesians 2:1-2, 12).
Section 6. SALVATION.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace
and received by personal faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness
of our sins. (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12;
Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-19).
Section 7. THE ETERNAL SECURITY AND ASSURANCE OF BELIEVERS.
We believe that all redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power,
and are thus secure forever, in Christ. (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30;
Rornans 8:1, 38-39).
We believe it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's Word. However we also believe that the Scriptures clearly forbid the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to indulge in the fleshly nature. (I Corinthians 1:4-8; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15).
Section 8. THE TWO NATURES OF THE BELIEVER.
We believe that every saved person possesses two natures, with provision
made for victory of the new nature over the old nature through the power
of the indwelling Holy Spirit; that all claims to the eradication of the
old nature in this life are unscriptural. (Romans 6:13; 8:12-13;
Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:10; I Peter 1:14-16;
I John 3:5-9).
Section 9. SEPERATION.
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner not to
bring reproach upon their Saviour and Lord; that separation from all religious
apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations
is commanded of God. (II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans
12:1-2; 14:13; I John 2:l5-l7; II Corinthians 6:14-17).
Section 10. MISSIONS.
We believe that the saved are obligated to witness by life by word
to the truths of Holy Scripture, and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to
all mankind. (Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:19-20).
Section 11. THE MINISTRY AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS.
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all gifts,
and that the gifts of evangelists, pastors, and teachers are sufficient
for the perfecting of the saints today; that speaking in tongues, and the
working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament scriptures
were completed and their authority became established. (I Corinthians
12:4-11; II Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12).
We believe that God does hear and answer the prayer of faith in accord with His own will, for the sick and afflicted. There is no warrant, however, in the scriptures for the contention that God must and will grant physical healing to every prayer of faith. (James 5:14-16; II Corinthians 12:7-10; II Timothy 4:20).
Section 12. THE CHURCH, UNIVERSAL AND LOCAL.
We believe that the universal church, which is the body and the
espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism, made up of all born-again
persons of this present age. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 5:25-27; I Corinthians
12:12-14; II Corinthians 11:2).
We believe the local church is an assembly of born-again, baptized
believers, united in organization to: (1) practice the New Testament ordinances:
The Lord's Table (Communion), and Baptism by immersion; (2) to meet
gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and a united testimony;
and (3) to actively engage in carrying
out the Great Commission. (Acts 2:4-42; I Corinthians
11:2).
Section 13. DISPENSATIONALISM.
We believe in the dispensational view of Bible interpretation, but
reject the extreme teaching known as hyperdispensationalism. (Ephesians
2:7; 3:4-5).
Section 14. The PERSONALITY OF SATAN.
We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin, and cause
of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; that
he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. (Job
1:6-7; Isaiah 14:12-17; Matthew 4:2-l1; 25:41; Revelation 20:10).
Section 15. THE ETERNAL STATE.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men; the saved to eternal
life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting separation from God.
(Matthew 25:41-46).
We believe that the souls of the saved are, at death, sent from the body and present with the Lord where, in conscious bliss, they await the resurrection when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord. (Luke 23:43; II Corinthians 5:8; Phi1ippians l:23).
Section 16. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.
We believe in the "Blessed Hope", the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational
and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones;
in His subsequent return to the earth with His saints to establish His
millennial kingdom. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11;
Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6).
Section 17. POSITION AND PRACTICE.
(Amended and Adopted 7/13/83)
We believe it is important to identify ourselves as being: fundamental,
dispensational, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial, evangelistic, separated,
independent (or specifically, non-aligned with any particular group or
association), adhering to historic Baptist distinctives. We also
believe it is important to identify ourselves as not being: liberal, neo-orthodox,
neo-evangelical, charasmatic, hyper-Calvinistic, or covenantal in theology.
Having been led by the Holy Spirit to receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord, and on profession of personal faith in Him, having been baptized according to the commandment of Christ, we engage by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love;
To strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, purity of life, and efficiency of service;
To promote its spirituality and prosperity, to sustain its worship and ordinances, and the Truth for which it stands.
To contribute cheerfully and systematically to the expense the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all the world.
We will endeavor to maintain family and private prayer, to educate our children religiously, to seek the salvation of relatives and friends;
To walk carefully in the world, to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and watchful of our manner of life.
To avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain
from the sale and use of intoxicating beverages and other harmful drugs;
To be zealous in our efforts to advance the Kingdom of our Saviour.
We will further endeavor to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress;
To cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling, and courtesy speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation; and mindful of the bidding of our Saviour to seek it without delay.
Finally we will endeavor, if we remove from this place, to unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of these standards and God's Word.
