Andries "Löwe" Lape was born Abt. 1725, and died July 07, 1800 in Claverack, Columbia, NY.  He married Anna Margaretha Mueller in 1749, daughter of Samuel Mueller and Anna Singer. Andries was the son of a German immigrant.  Andries was of the Lutheran faith, having been a member of various churches in the Livingston, Germantown, Claverack and Churchtown, Columbia County area.  He and Anna Margaretha had eight children between 1749-1767.
