The Oswego River Chapter was formed in 1995. Since that time, it has continued to grow. 2002 will mark the organization's seventh annual fundraising banquet.
The chapter has received several awards over the last two years at the state convention for the support and hard work of it's members in putting together successful fund raising banquets. The proceeds have earned the chapter Golden Gobbler status for the past three years and has funded two JAKES Days (a free day of fun and sportsmanship for children under the age of 17), as well as providing 3,600 seedlings which were planted in conjunction with a local Boy Scout Group.
Oswego River Chapter also participates in the state chapter's seed corn distribution and has provided free of charge seed corn to Oswego County residents who are interested in providing a habitat for turkeys.
