Creatively, I'm interested in furries, so much of my web efforts so far
have gone to making
The Furry InfoPage
which explains all about them, as well as (in the guise of Rhal, the
cuddly werelion)
The Furry MU*s List, with information on several dozen interactive
roleplaying network computer games (although most people use them just to
chat), with a furry theme. I also run the Art Show for
Anthrocon, a furry convention
held each July in Pittsburgh.
Physically, I'm in Syracuse, New York, USA, North America, Western Hemisphere, Earth, The Solar System, The Milky Way, The Mind of the Goddess... (sorry, Mr. Wilder!) I was born June 25, 1958, I'm 5' 11", 220 pounds (and fluctuating), green eyes, long brown hair and an evil goatee.
Professionally, I work at WTVH Channel 5, the CBS affiliate in Syracuse, where I'm on the studio production crew. This usually involves running the video graphics, or operating the cameras or audio mixing console.
Technically, I like fiddling with
computers, hacking perl and
html, and I compiled the
FAQ for the trn newsreader... all with my favorite freeware
editor, BBEdit
Lite. (Okay, well, it's TextWrangler now.)
Recreationally, I enjoy hiking the trails in nearby parks, including Green
Lakes State Park and Highland Forest County Park. In early October I
took a day trip to the Adirondacks and hiked around Cascade Lake.
Entertainingly, I don't watch much TV -- I've been downloading
anime fansubs instead. I do watch regular TV for a few favorite shows, including
The Daily Show on Comedy Central,
InuYasha on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim,
The Simpsons, and
South Park.
I was also a big fan of
Babylon 5, which is probably the best science fiction
ever produced for TV.
I have an eclectic taste in movies -- generally I like romantic comedies and animated films, or thoughtful dramas over ultra-violent action pix. Recently I've started appreciating independent and art-house films. I think it's because foremost I want a good story, told well. I don't really have any favorite stars, but I'll see anything by Hayao Miyazaki. Or Christopher Guest.
Movies I've seen recently include:

Amazingly, I've come up with a creative way to
present a selection of interesting links ... far superior to the
unimaginative lists of links others use!
Come explore PeterCat's Maze of
Treasures!
I've become quite concerned about the issue of freedom in the United States. I've written an essay on the topic for the "24 Hours of Democracy" project, and support the Blue Ribbon Campaign for free speech on the Internet.
