...lies the surreal world of near infrared.

Invisible to the unaided human eye, but capable of transforming the monotonous green landscape of summer into an ethereal, wintry-white dreamscape where luminous white clouds appear to float in the darkness of deep space and ghost like images of trees reflect off inky black waters. This unworldly beauty that surrounds us was captured with a Nikon 950 digital camera and special filters that exclude all visible light, allowing only the infrared to pass through the lens.
