The Lawn Chair That Flew
a comedy in one act

From the age of shock television comes another celebration of man's insensitivity to man-The Darwin Awards. Each nominee for the award is fooled into thinking that he is being questioned by the police; when, in reality, he is being considered for an award that celebrates his stupidity, i.e., The Darwin Awards. Larry Santos, the man who flew his lawn chair; John Witty, who lost his eye to the errant arrow that was meant for the beer can on his head; and Sal Hawkins, who sacrificed his life to see a Salivary Gland concert, all review and act out their mistakes in front of a nationwide audience. The show backfires on its hosts when the nominees tire of being publicly humiliated. Poetic justice reigns when the hosts pay for their arrogance and Larry snags a contract with NBC.
